Routine Fillings
Dental decay happens when the enamel and dentine of a tooth becomes softened by acid attack, producing a cavity (hole). If the decay is not too serious, the dentist will remove all the decay and restore the tooth with a filling. Fillings are restorations of the tooth; the restoration can be a white or silver filling. Silver fillings are made of the material amalgam (Mercury). White fillings are made of durable white filling material that does not carry mercury as the silver filling. Such white fillings are usually made from glass ionomer, resin composite, porcelain and so on.
No Mercury - Better Aesthetics.
In recent years it has been more common for the patient to ask for white fillings. The material Composite is a stronger more durable natural coloured filling material, which is becoming a more viable treatment option for restorations. White filling material can be placed in any tooth, the only dictating factor being the size of the filling.

Our U-Family Dental clinic is a mercury-free practice. However, many people still have silver/mercury fillings from years past in their mouths. These fillings are not particularly pleasing to the eye, and we know that by an unavoidable design flaw, silver/mercury fillings ultimately result in a weaker tooth structure. Porcelain inlays and composite resins create fillings that are not only beautiful (or unnoticeable) but also add strength to weakened teeth. These restorations are esthetically pleasing and very strong thanks to new bonding technologies.

The most important aspect is that we never worried about the potential risk that may be caused by mercury if you choose natural colored material for your teeth restoration.
